I’m from the small town of Bakersville, North Carolina, where I’ve spent a lot of my life surrounded by the warmth of church community. In 2016, I made the life-changing decision to become a believer. Fast forward to December 2025, and I married my beautiful wife, Claire. I knew from the moment I saw her that she was the Christian woman that God picked just for me. We share a love for hiking and cheering on our favorite football team—there’s nothing quite like a cozy Sunday afternoon of good food and the thrill of the game!

I’m currently pursuing my Master of Divinity in pastoral ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. It’s been an incredible journey so far! To support myself through school, I’ve been part of the SEBTS ground crew for over a year, which has been both rewarding and a lot of fun.

If I were to share advice with someone new to the faith, it would be this: trust that God not only loves you but also has a wonderful plan for your life. The greatest joy you can find is in pursuing that plan, no matter where He asks you to go or what He asks you to do. One piece of Scripture that really resonates with me is Romans 8; it’s a constant reminder of our freedom from condemnation, life in the Spirit, being children of God, and God's unconditional love for us.

I grew up in Newington, Connecticut, and my journey with faith took a unique turn. I didn’t come from a church-going family, but in my early 30s, God's transformation in my life started. I was saved in 2006 and took the step of baptism in 2014. Fast forward to 2015, and I married my wonderful husband, Jeff. Together, we’re busy raising our three boys and cherishing family trips that create lasting memories.

I often share with new believers that God's grace is sufficient for everyone. It’s so important to me that people understand that past mistakes don’t disqualify anyone from God’s love.

I hold a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in business administration, as well as a master’s in Elementary Education. I spent 18.5 years as a classroom teacher, where I found joy in educating kids. Alongside teaching, I’ve worked part-time at animal shelters, doggy daycares, and animal hospitals. With five dogs and seven cats keeping us on our toes, there’s never a dull moment!

I’ve always felt a strong pull towards both children and animals. One of my favorite verses is Deuteronomy 31:6: "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear, nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." This resonates deeply with me, and it’s a reminder of the strength we find in faith.

I grew up in the small town of Youngsville, North Carolina, where I have many fond memories. I was baptized when I was just 7 years old, but it was on May 14, 2023, that I truly gave my life to Jesus, and that moment changed everything for me.

In 1979, I married my best friend, Wayne, and together we’ve built a wonderful life filled with love and family. We’re blessed with two amazing sons and five delightful grandchildren who keep us on our toes!

I earned my bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in marketing and communication from Barton College. After nearly 38 years, I recently retired from North Carolina Electric Cooperatives. Now, I get to indulge in one of my favorite hobbies: baking and decorating cakes. There’s something so satisfying about creating something beautiful and delicious!

A verse that holds a special place in my heart is 2 Chronicles 20:17, which reminds us, "You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you." This scripture has brought me comfort and strength during challenging times.

If I could share any advice with new believers, it would be this: It’s so important to understand that knowing facts about Jesus isn’t the same as giving Him lordship over your life. Every day, we need to choose to let Him guide us, even when it gets tough. Remember, God isn’t a God of chaos; He is a God of peace. And if you’re feeling uncertain about your salvation, take the time to make things right with Him before it’s too late. He’s always waiting for you with open arms.

After 41 years, I decided to retire.  It’s been a great journey, and I look forward to what God has in store for me in my retirement years.

In 2000, I married my soulmate and best friend, Danny. I knew he was the man that God had just for me. Together, we've built a wonderful life and enjoy the time we get to spend with our three wonderful children and six grandchildren. They truly bring joy to our lives. When I’m not with my family, you can often find me enjoying a peaceful walk or getting lost in a good book.

For anyone new in their faith, I’d say this: Trust God in all things. Nothing is too big for our God! One of my favorite verses is Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I’ve seen how putting God first can set everything else in order. It’s a simple yet powerful truth that I carry with me every day!

I’m from Louisburg, but around here most folks call it the Flat Rock area. I joined the church when I was just 13, but it wasn't until I was 32 that I truly became a Christian. Over the years, I have had the joy of serving as a Youth Choir leader and Music leader, which has been incredibly fulfilling.

I’m a proud parent to one son, and my family has grown to include two wonderful grandchildren and five energetic great-grandchildren. After dedicating 33 years to Mallinckrodt, I retired and now have more time to pursue my passions. You’ll often find me with a good book in my hands or out enjoying a meal at my favorite local spots.

One of my guiding principles comes from Proverbs 3:5, which reminds us to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” If I could share advice with someone new in their faith, it would be to dive into God’s Word—it’s a source of wisdom that is always true and dependable.

I was born in Springfield, Ohio, and grew up with a strong sense of community. After graduating from Southeastern Clark High School in 1964, I pursued my passion for technology and earned an associate's degree in electrical engineering technology. My early years were spent working as a farmer in Richland County, where I developed a deep appreciation for hard work.

A significant turning point in my life came in the spring of 1974 when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. That moment transformed me—I repented of my sins and was baptized, marking the beginning of a new chapter filled with faith and purpose.

In 1996, I married my wonderful wife, Mary Ann, and together we’ve created a beautiful family. We are blessed with five children, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren who fill our lives with joy. Our little chihuahua, Casey, adds even more love and laughter to our home.

Over the years, Mary Ann and I have found great joy in riding motorcycles and camping, creating countless memories together. I retired from CenturyLink in 2016, and I cherish the time I spend with my family.

Reflecting on my journey, I hold onto the wisdom from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love." This has been my guiding principle in life, and I strive to live by it every day.
